5th Canadian Plant-Based Nutrition Conference 2024

This hybrid conference is brought to you by Plant-Based Canada (www.plantbasedcanada.org) in collaboration with the Canadian Lifestyle Medicine Advocacy Group of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

The conference will provide evidence-based education in the field of plant-based nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine for prevention and treatment of chronic disease.

The conference is for health professionals and members of the public.

As always we have amazing multidisciplinary experts from Canada, speaking on important topics in Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine.

W e will have a delicious plant-based hot lunch and snacks throughout the day.

O ur keynote speaker is the inspiring and internationally renowned Dr. Michael Klaper MD. Dr. Klaper is the Director of Moving Medicine Forward, a non-profit educational initiative dedicated to promoting nutritional awareness among medical students and practicing clinicians, emphasizing the role of plant-based nutrition and positive lifestyle practices in arresting and, often, reversing chronic disease. A long-standing member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Klaper has been lecturing extensively at medical schools across North America, Europe, and Australia. His enlightening presentation, "What I Wish I Learned in Medical School About Nutrition," explores the mechanisms by which plant-predominant diets can help reverse common Western diseases, such as hypertension, obesity, Type II diabetes and many inflammatory states.

We are honored to have Plant-Based Treaty and Canadians for Responsible Food Policy at the event, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about their vital work.

Ticket price options include:

1) $125 for health professionals - in person attendance ($100 for early bird)

2) $75 for non health professionals - in person attendance ($50 for early bird)

3) $25 for students, retired and unwaged persons, in person attendance

4) $25 for people working for non-profits in person attendance

5) $50 for virtual attendance

Virtual attendees will be sent log on details to the virtual event platform close to the conference date. Please keep your e-ticket handy for in person registration on the day. For this reason, please purchase one ticket at a time to get the unique ticket number.

Talks will be available for viewing after the event for ticket holders for up to 3 months.
