The Whitney Classic is BACK for Year 5!! Thank you to all who participated last year! For those participating for the first time, thank you and enjoy some volleyball and support youth sports! This is a fundraiser for the Whitney High School Boys' Volleyball program, who has generously lended their gym for us to use. We have 3 available courts, so we will accept up to 12 teams. Each court will have a 4 team pool.Pool Play will be round robin, each team playing 3 matches. Each match is 2 sets to 25, starting at 4 with a cap of 27 and 1 timeout per set. Every team will make it to playoffs.
Playoffs will be the same as in year's past. Double elimination, consolation round is one set to 25. Matches will be best 2 out of 3. Start at 0 with no cap. Third set is one set to 15, starting at zero with no cap as well. 1 timeout per set.
The tournament fee is $275 per team if you register by April 5th and $300 by April 12th. After the second deadline we will no longer be able to accept more teams. If you have a team and would like to participate, please DM or send an email to [email protected] with your name and team name. Per the school, payments must be made through checks, made out to Whitney High School Boys' Volleyball.
We will also have a snack bar, ran by the Whitney Team as well! Also please NO drugs or alcohol on campus because it is a high school campus and if we get caught we will NOT be able to keep doing this each year.
