5th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society for Pelvic Medicine

The Canadian Society of Pelvic Medicine is a not-for-profit society devoted to bringing healthcare workers together who have an interest in Pelvic Floor Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery focusing on women’s health.

The goal of the society for this program is to provide didactic learning opportunities in the field of female pelvic medicine, highlighting the multidisciplinary approach to treating female pelvic floor disorders in Canada and disseminating Canadian research focused on female pelvic floor disorders.

This three-day Meeting is for health professionals with a keen interest, in female pelvic medicine: gynecologists, urogynecologists, obstetricians, general practitioners, urologists, fellows, residents, nurses, and physiotherapists.

Learning Objectives

• Review of the current literature on diagnostic workup and management of common conditions affecting female pelvic floor health.
• Raising awareness of new conceptual frameworks in understanding common pelvic floor health conditions.

• At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe the knowledge translation process for current and innovative research that is currently being done in Canada in the area of pelvic floor disorders.
• At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify members of this community to engage in multidisciplinary and national collaborative efforts to advance the science and education in UroGynecology
