On October 17th, 2025, we are hosting the 5th Annual Masquerade Ball fundraiser at the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Maryville. Our goal is to raise $25,000, which will be used to house local homeless animals, provide their vet care, and spay and neuter every animal that passes through our doors.The Maryville/Alcoa Animal Rescue Center (MAARC) is a 501c3 founded in 2018 to create a No K*ll environment in Alcoa and Maryville. MAARC’s founding principle was, and is, to find every animal a safe, happy forever home.
We:
• Are a true grassroots rescue
• Currently operate on a 100% volunteer basis
• Currently operate with an annual budget of under $200,000
• Make every effort to avoid euthanasia by following the Best Friends Animal Society no-K*ll practices and the No K*ll Equation
• Pull animals from the city shelter and care for them until they are adopted.
The organization found homes for 287 dogs and cats and reunited 120 pets with their owners in the past year, so we are asking for your help.
We will raise funds during the event through various means, including a silent auction and an online auction.
