American Gothic is a subgenre of gothic fiction. Elements specific to American Gothic include: rationality versus the irrational, puritanism, guilt, the uncanny (das unheimliche), ab-humans, ghosts, and monsters.
The 5th Annual Edgar Allan Poe Ball celebrates all the above. Edgar Allan Poe was born January 19, 1809. Join us on Saturday January 18, 2025 as we celebrate the works of the most famous American Gothic writers.
