The Downtown Rotary Club of Houston is again presenting our HonorWreath designed by Marcia Wilson, a Downtown Rotary member and owner of Breen’s Florists.
The large wreath will be delivered by Breen’s Florists at 8 a.m. on
Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2023 to the hemicycle. There our
members will reverently remove the wreath from the truck and place it
“in line” with the other national organizations presenting that morning.
NOTE: There will be ample parking at or near the hemicycle. Please try to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. to avoid the crowds.
We also ask all members to wear a white shirt/blouse, comfortable blue
jeans and comfortable shoes. If members have their Downtown Rotary
Parade Vest, we ask them to please wear the vest for the presentation
as press from all over the city will recognize and report who we are to the media.
This is a solemn occasion so please do NOT bring young children or pets.
The presentations begin at 9 am and our wreath will be place in a dignified way
will ALL or members present presenting the wreath. The entire event should be
over before 12 noon.
