Chalk Walk is Follow Your Art Community Studios' annual fundraiser for Arts for All, which promotes equity and inclusion by providing tuition assistance, adaptive services, outreach programs to underserved communities, and free community arts & culture projects for all. Last year, more than 100 community artists and families turned out to transform the pathway by Ell Pond and the walkway outside Melrose City Hall into colorful community galleries. Together we raised more than $8,500 for Arts for All, enabling FYACS to provide financial and adaptive assistance so that creative arts experiences are accessible to everyone. Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year!
For a donation of $30, you can make your own chalk art or pay it forward so someone else can! The community gallery will be along the path next to the Ell Pond gazebo. Be sure to visit the event's second location outside Melrose City Hall where local artists will be creating large sponsored chalk paintings.
