Grab a spoon for this combo event! Our fifth annual chili cook-off will begin at 11am, while the Farmer’s Market opens for its last day of the season. Be a part of the tasting and judging for our chili cook-off, or even enter a chili into the contest!Contestants will have their chilis judged by the judge’s panel from 11am to NOON. Stay tuned to see who is on our judge's panel this year! The event will open to the public at NOON, where attendees will be able to sample and vote for their favorite chilis. The chili cook-off will conclude at 2pm. A Judge’s Choice Award & a People’s Choice Award will be handed out in each category. Come help decide a Beans & Bowls champion for 2025!
Contestant Applications are available for pickup at Farmer’s Market, or online at https://secure.rec1.com/MI/redford-township-mi/catalog. Once you create an account, you will be able to register online. You may also register in-person at the Leisure Services office. Contestants MUST PRE-REGISTER by Friday, October 10th. Attendance fee waived for contestants.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online or in-person through the Leisure Services office. Call (313) 387-2650 with questions. Presale tickets will be $7 for those attending the cook-off. Day-of tickets will be $10 at the door, cash only. If you want to taste the chili, you MUST purchase a ticket.
