Community and more!
We are so very honored to have Dr. Michael Klaper joining us as this year’s keynote speaker.
Dr. Klaper brings decades of experience, compassion, and knowledge to our state, sharing his expertise in how food choices impact our health and well-being.
He is widely recognized for his pioneering work in plant-based medicine and has been featured in documentaries such as Forks Over Knives, Cowspiracy, and What the Health.
This year’s topic, Reclaim Your Health: How Plants Reverse Chronic Disease, shines a light on the increasing rates of chronic illnesses such as autoimmune conditions, metabolic disorders, and heart disease that many Americans face today.
These challenges can feel overwhelming, but small, intentional changes in what we eat can make a meaningful difference.
This year, we invite you to explore how nourishing your body with plants can help you take steps toward feeling your best and living a healthier life.
Meet Dr. Michael Klaper
Michael A. Klaper, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. Over his 35+ years of practice, he has shifted his focus to health-promoting food and lifestyle choices that reverse disease and prevent hospitalization and surgery. Dr. Klaper is board-certified by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and has served as a nutrition advisor to NASA’s programs for space colonization on the Moon and Mars.
He currently serves with the Aroga Lifestyle Medicine Clinic in Victoria, B.C., and continues his work with the non-profit Moving Medicine Forward (MovingMedForward.org), educating the next generation of physicians about the power of plant-based nutrition.
