We are pleased to announce the CBMC Sponsored Mayor's Prayer Breakfast for 2024. Our speaker will be T. Wayne Knowles.

T. Wayne Knowles

Senior Development Officer for The Master’s Academy International (TMAI)

In the summer of 2023 Wayne joined TMAI working with churches and donors and in the Pacific Northwest and the Southern states. Along with representing the global ministry of TMAI, he provides counsel and practical advice to Missions Committees on how to think strategically to fulfill the Great Commission.

Advisory Director – Sales for Confluence Investment Management

An industry veteran of 37 years in the money management business, Mr. Knowles launched and led the Sales Team for 12 years. In 2022, he assumed the role of Advisory Director - Sales at Confluence helping the President with special projects. He also covers the Mountain States of Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Alaska for Confluence.

Family

Wayne and Phyllis, married for 50 years in 2024, have been blessed with five children. Their children are all married and have graced the family with 20 grandchildren. Wayne and Phyllis live in the Raleigh area.

Former Elder at The Shepherd’s Church in Cary, NC

Wayne served on the elder team for 27 years at The Shepherd’s Church (formerly Colonial Baptist). He chaired the board for over a decade, serving on the Executive Committee and Personnel Team. During this time, he taught Adult Bible Fellowship classes and in the Institute. His great passion is Church History with an emphasis on the 16th century Reformation.

In previous years he also served on Shepherds Theology Seminary and was President of Wisdom for the Heart global radio ministry.
