On Monday, January 19, 2026 we will gather as a beloved community for the 56th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast.This year of commemoration, celebration, and activation carries additional historical resonance: 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the nation’s founding. In this milestone year, we remember Dr. King’s call to shape not only a more perfect union, but also a radically just and compassionate society.
So we will gather boldly inspired and galvanized by the theme “The Fierce Urgency of Now: Revolutionary Love, Liberation, and Joy" and we are thrilled to announce that our keynote will be Pulitzer Prize-winning curator of The 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones. The 2026 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast will be an opportunity to reflect on this revolutionary spirit — past, present, and future.
