Join the Danville Historical Society for its 52nd Holiday Tour – Everything Old Is New Again on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, December 14, 2025, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.).Discover Danville’s layered history:
From its early days as a fording site along the Dan River to a thriving tobacco and textile industrial hub, our city’s story is rich and evolving. The Danville Historical Society preserves this past—artifacts, photographs, stories—so that each home we visit not only gleams with holiday lights, but also echoes the voices of those who came before.
What to expect on the tour:
Imagine strolling through cheery, beautifully decorated historic residences and landmark buildings—each uniquely restored, each with a story. On this year’s “Everything Old Is New Again” tour, you’ll be treated to 8 unique sites starting with the Danville Fire Station Headquarters.

Check-in: Begins promptly at 11 a.m. Saturday at Danville Fire Department Headquarters – Station 1, 600 Lynn Street, Danville, VA 24541.

Rain date: Sunday, December 14, from 1–5 p.m. in the event of inclement weather.
