Hey y’all! Clear your calendars for the 52nd Berea College Celebration of Traditional Music, October 9–12, at Berea College, Berea, KY. Concerts, jam sessions, dance, workshops, Saturday KIDZONE, Dinner-on-the-Grounds symposium, gospel sing.
Lineup: The Ebony Hillbillies, Sue Massek, The Branchwater Belles, Collen Cleveland, Lorinda Jones, Lilli Shelton, Illegal Contraband, Darlene Underwood, Donna and Lewis Lamb, Deborah Thompson, Berea College student ensembles. Richard Underwood is the symposium speaker at Dinner on the Grounds on Saturday; he will talk about his book “CrimeSong,” with ballads performed by Liza DiSavino.
All events free except: admission to Saturday evening concert: $10; Saturday dance $8. ALL events free to students from any school, any level.
CTM is supported by a grant from the L. Allen Jones Memorial Fund and the Loyal Jones Appalachian Center.
