The 51st AL Johnson Uphill Downhill Telemark Ski Race 2024

Telemark skiing is NOT dead! This race has it all folks; anarchy, athleticism, prizes, and tons of FUN!

The Al Johnson Race is an uphill/downhill Telemark ski race steeped in local history, celebrating the legacy of the infamous 19th century postman, Al Johnson. Racers skin up 600ft and descend 1,200ft through the famed Extreme Limits terrain at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Costumes encouraged. All proceeds to benefit the Crested Butte Mountain Sports Team Boosters.
