Yoga Space & The Yin Space are excited to announce our 2024 dates for the 50hr YACEP and YA accredited course with world-renowned teacher Melanie Mclaughlin! Join us for this unique opportunity to explore your “yin-side” over a five-day winter urban retreat & get to know why more and more people across the globe are falling in love with this practice. You will experience the benefits yin has not only on our physical bodies, but on our nervous and energy systems.
During this course we will explore the intellectual and energetic aspects of yin and balance out with dreamy practices to bookend the days.

MORE ABOUT MELANIE
Mel has been passionate about a yin-style practice for over 10 years, through her own personal practice and self-study.
In 2012 Mel formalised her training with Paul Grilley through his 200-hour Teacher Training program in the USA, recently revisited for ongoing training and now shares this wealth of experience, insight and expertise through her very own Yoga Australia recognised 100-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training course.

THE DETAILS
This 50-hour course is open to 200-hour qualified yoga teachers OR dedicated students wanting to dive in and learn more for their own personal practice and enjoyment.

COURSE MATERIAL
The course material you can look forward to will include:
• A study of Yin asanas
• An alternate look at anatomy and physiology for yoga
• Explore the differences between a yin and yang practice
• Yin sequencing and class themes/props
• Pranayama and meditation in a Yin practice
• Muscle meridian theory and related organs (courtesy of Dr Motoyama & Paul Grilley’s research)
• The energy system inc meridians and chakras
• Fascia research and its function and qualities relevant to YIN
• The concept and importance of Chi
• Teaching styles and methodologies in Yin yoga including “wall yin”

PRE-REQUISITES
If you wish to teach Yin yoga you will need to have successfully completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course prior to commencing Yin Yoga Teacher Training.
Or not a yoga teacher you're welcome to join us for your own personal experience.
All participants MUST complete five hours of external practice prior to training either online, in studio or from a book sequence.

RECOGNITION
This training is recognised by Yoga Australia & Yoga Alliance for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and member upgrades.

PRICING & CONDITIONS
Early Bird Price: $1200 by 5:30pm on the 29 February 2024.
Early Bird Price Payment is only valid when course cost is PAID IN FULL (PIF)
Full Price: $1400
Full Price Payment is due by 5:30pm on the 31 March 2024.
A $500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your place in the course.
We now offer a monthly payment plan for full price rates.

CANCELLATION & WITHDRAWAL
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable & non-transferable relative to the below policy.
For cancellations more than 6 weeks prior to course commencement, all fees will be refunded less the $500 non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations between 4 & 6 weeks prior to commencement date, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
For cancellations within 4 weeks of commencement date, no refund will be given.
