Date: 15th to 19th of April 2024
Location: Fair Harvest Permaculture farm
Join Ian Hackett from Tig-Le House for this mindfulness and nature retreat, a semi-silent retreat that explores traditional and contemporary mindfulness through an ecological lens. As human beings, we possess vast knowledge of the earth and nature. This retreat offers an opportunity to deepen mindfulness and explore meditative practices that encourage a profound remembrance of our sacred place and relationship within the body of nature.
Ian is an experienced bushland regenerator, Landcare and permaculturalist with over 33 years of experience. He has undergone formal Buddhist and Universalist Dharma training.
The retreat incorporates mindfulness, universal dharma techniques, meditations on nature and practices derived from indigenous knowledge systems, expanding and enriching awareness of the natural world. These practices have been passed on directly. They are shared with permission, acknowledging the sources of wisdom and teaching.
The retreat includes mindfulness training sessions, breaks for rest and respite, meditations, and mindful walking on country.
Semi-silent means avoiding sources of overstimulation while staying connected to people and place.
