When was the last time you heard the word “discernment” included in ethical decision-making? Even LinkedIn is using it as a probable heading for leaders: "Discernment: The Next Leadership Skill?"
How do we discern? We are flooded daily with data. There are many voices in this world, and leaders hear all kinds of advice. How can we discern the whispers of the Holy Spirit and specific direction from God? There is no simple formula, but there are principles of discernment we can learn.
This is the second session in our fall series and the second trait needed for Courageous Leadership. A leader that lacks discernment will eventually lack credibility. When the leader’s credibility is in doubt, her influence deteriorates.
