This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to experience Indian culture, entertainment, and rich artistic heritage. The festival showcases the rich diversity of Indian dance, food, art, music, and Bollywood entertainment. Enjoy immersive activities for all ages, including:
· Bollywood performances and traditional dance showcases
· Indian cuisine in our food court
· Henna tattoos and turban-tying demonstrations
· Try on a Saree and experience its timeless elegance
· A bustling Bazaar for unique Indian souvenirs
· Build your own Indian souvenir at the Kids Art corner
The Regional Festival of India is more than just a celebration of Indian culture – it's a testament to the thriving diversity of our region, proudly supported by the town of Matthews and spreading throughout the metro area and suburbs. By sharing our traditions, music, and art, we aim to foster greater understanding, appreciation, and inclusivity among our communities, making our entire region a truly vibrant, multicultural hub.
This event is organized by the India Association of Charlotte, in active partnership with the Town of Matthews, and is sponsored by ASC Culture Blocks Program - a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.
The mission of the India Association of Charlotte (IAC) is to share Indian culture with the people of the Carolinas and foster a better understanding of India's cultural diversity within the mainstream community.
