The Dubbers Cares foundation is a local Missoula non-profit designed to assist people financially with their housing needs when they are experiencing a crisis or hardship.
We provide one time funding to families to assist with things like rent payments, Mortgage payments, Security deposits, Utility bills, and Emergency hotel stays.
Anyone can find themselves in a tough situation overnight due to unforeseen circumstances. We help everyone from single fathers, single mothers, families, senior citizens, veterans, anyone really - we simply aim to keep people housed.
It is our ultimate goal to prevent homelessness before it occurs.
We are a smaller volunteer-run organization which allows us to give the vast majority of the donations we receive directly to those in our community that need it. We are designed to fill the more immediate need so we don’t have weeks of wait time, we usually respond to an applicant’s request within a few days, in some cases like emergency hotel stays, even the same day.
The current housing crisis has amplified the need in our community for housing support and our organization. Unfortunately the elevated demand on our resources has us forced to implement a waitlist much of the year due a lack of funding. Causing us to lean on our community member’s support more than ever before.
