Join us for a full day filled with color, music, food, and tradition as we come together to celebrate Día de los Muertos. From sunrise to sundown, the Mercado will be alive with art, dance, food, and heartfelt tributes that honor our loved ones. 💐💀
🎶 Live Performances throughout the day will keep the energy high—from beautiful cultural showcases to lively local sounds that will have the whole community dancing.
🎨 Family Activities & Art – From kids’ crafts and face painting to hands-on art projects, there’s something for every age to enjoy.
🌮 Vendors – Savor delicious food, discover unique treasures, and shop local at our Mercado.
New Signature Features
🎭 El Camino de las Calaveras (The Path of Skulls) – Step onto the runway or cheer on the participants as they showcase stunning Catrinas, Calaveras, and other creative Día de los Muertos–inspired outfits in a celebration of culture, fashion, and tradition.
🕯️ El Panteón de Ofrendas – Experience a breathtaking outdoor altar space where families create ofrendas to honor their loved ones with flowers, candles, photos, and offerings. A space of remembrance, love, and connection.

🚗 Stationary Parade – Explore creative floats and displays from families, businesses, and organizations—all beautifully decorated with Día de los Muertos themes. Candy giveaways and interactive fun for the whole family!

Mercado on Fifth is a non-profit organization hosting vibrant outdoor events every Friday evening on 5th Avenue in Moline, along with year-round programming that uplifts the community.
Each week, guests can enjoy food trucks, produce and retail vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Mercado brings cultural performances from local musicians, dance groups, and artists, while also offering learning opportunities for children and resources from local nonprofits for adults.
At its heart, Mercado on Fifth strives to create economic opportunities for small and minority-owned businesses, while celebrating culture, building community pride, and welcoming people to the historic Floreciente neighborhood.
