Mere Point Oyster Company is thrilled to invite you to their 4th annual Coastal Cleanup event, taking place in beautiful Brunswick, Maine. This year they’ve partnered with Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, the Town of Brunswick, Merrymeeting Shellfish Co., Paul’s Marina, Smith’s Boat Yard, and Flight Deck Brewing. Let’s show our shoreline some tender loving care; join us as we roll up our sleeves this Earth Day to help restore the natural beauty of our coastline. We need YOUR help to make a difference!
All Ages Welcome! Bring the whole family and join in the fun. Our engaging scavenger hunts and shell decorating station will ensure that children have a blast while making a positive impact on our environment.
Important Considerations: We’ll organize volunteers into different groups to cover the most shoreline effectively. If you have recruited friends or family, please list everyone in your group so that all are accounted for when we finish. For agility level, please base this on the lease agile member of your group for safety reasons.
What to Wear: We strongly recommend waterproof boots or shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
What to Bring: Mere Point Oyster Co. will provide some buckets and work gloves but if you have gloves or an old bucket to collect glass and metal, please bring them.
What better way to celebrate our hard work than with a reward? After a day of dedication and teamwork indulge in freshly shucked oysters, compliments of Mere Point Oyster Company, before joining the rest of the cleanup volunteers at Flight Deck Brewery in Brunswick.
