For the fourth consecutive year, the Corning Museum of Glass will host the CMoG Flameworking Collab with top flameworkers Andrew "AKM" Morris, Darby Holm, and David Colton. These guests artists will collaborate on a creative, compositional sculpture, employing advanced flameworking techniques, such as complex assembly of hollow forms and finely detailed solid sculptural elements.This spectacular, functional piece will incorporate each artist's individual style to produce a seamlessly blended idea. The design is completely new to the artists, with the concept emerging in full as they work through it.
This year's collaboration is sponsored by our friends at ABR Imagery! See all the action in the Amphitheater Hot Shop daily, June 2-6, 10 am–4 pm.
The artists will continue work on their collaborative sculpture during a livestream on Thursday, June 5, 2 pm–4 pm, in the Amphitheater Hot Shop. Please note the guest artists and Museum gaffers will take lunch breaks each day, so times may vary.
