Change Makes Change!

The Change Bowl is a student-led experience designed to empower the next generation of changemakers ages 8–18 who are passionate about improving their schools and communities.

Think Shark Tank—reimagined for community impact. Students develop and pitch ideas that address real needs across North Texas, including education, health, the environment, arts, equity, and overall well-being.

This interview is a required step in the Change Bowl selection process. It gives students the opportunity to share more about their idea, their motivation, and their commitment to seeing their project through. Interviews are conversational, encouraging, and focused on getting to know each student beyond their application.

Change Bowl is powered by House of Shine’s Leadership Institute and emphasizes leadership, confidence, and follow-through. Selected changemakers receive mentorship, professional feedback, and the opportunity to earn funding to bring their ideas to life.

This sign-up page is public, but only students who have been invited to interview will receive the access code needed to unlock interview time slots.

Interview Details

The interview will last approximately 20–30 minutes. Student applicants should attend the interview, and teams may send up to one to three presenters. No materials are required for the interview—just bring yourself and be ready to talk about your idea.
