Get ready, Central New York—The Pour, our annual Guinness pouring competition, is returning for another unforgettable year!
Hosted by the AOH John C. Devereux Division 1, this event celebrates the art, skill, and tradition of pouring the perfect pint of Guinness. 🍺 While raising money for a local charitable cause.
This year's charity is: Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Utica chapter!
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a national nonprofit dedicated to making sure no child has to sleep on the floor. Through the work of volunteers, SHP builds and delivers quality beds—complete with mattresses and bedding—to children and families in need, giving kids a safe, comfortable place to sleep and dream. Their motto says it all: “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!”

What’s The Pour? It’s a battle of the bartenders, where the best in the business compete in 3 rounds to prove their Guinness-pouring prowess:
1️⃣ The Perfect Pint – Following official Guinness Brewhouse rules.
2️⃣ The Perfect Half & Half – A flawless layer of Guinness over pale ale or lager (aka "Black & Tan").
3️⃣ The Shamrock – Bartenders channel their inner artist to etch a shamrock in the foam.
Our celebrity judges will be on hand to crown the champion, and you’ll get to enjoy the craic, the competition, and, of course, some perfectly poured pints!
📅 When: September 16th (doors open at 4pm, contest at 6pm)
