About this Event
Welcome to the 49th Annual Virtual AHEA Conference!
Date: February 26, 2025
Location: Online
Join us for engaging sessions, networking opportunities, and insightful discussions at the AHEA Virtual Conference.
This year's conference theme is based on the book Military Veterans Transitioning to Higher Education and the Civilian Workforce: Challenges, Opportunities, Supports, and Resources. Edited By: Yvonne Hunter-Johnson, Timothy J. Ross and Mary V. Alfred
Many presentations illuminate veterans' journeys into higher education and the workplace, highlighting their challenges, opportunities, and crucial support systems and resources needed for success. Proposals that provide insights into best practices for creating veteran-friendly educational institutions and workplaces are being solicited.
Although proposals did not need to adhere to this theme, they all pertain to adult and higher education.
We will start the day at 9 am EST with a panel consisting of book authors from the conference theme, followed by up to five breakout rooms with as many as five presentations per room to choose from, with a break from 12:15 pm to 1 pm. A conference program will be emailed to you in January.
We have 25+ sessions to choose from, each lasting 45 minutes. You will listen to and engage in presentations on adult learners and higher education. We will also create networking rooms to continue discussions after presentations.
Cost: USF graduate students and faculty are free; all other graduate students are $25, and all other faculty are $50.00. Remember, when you attend an AHEA conference, you receive a one-year membership to the Alliance.
So, connect with education professionals and exchange ideas on the latest trends and practices. Don't miss this chance to enhance your knowledge and grow your network in a welcoming and vibrant environment. We look forward to seeing you there!
