Beginning Friday evening, March 14, the SDCHPS will host a welcoming Gala Event at the King-Welch Mansion, formerly known as Henderson House, with doors opening at 6 PM. The evening will welcome award-winning photographer, Chip Cooper. Mr. Cooper dedicates his efforts to capturing and defining the essence of the South through his photography. He is the former Director of Photography for the University of Alabama and is now Artist-in-Residence in the Honors College. While working for the University of Alabama his works were published in Antique Monthly, Antiques and Fine Art Magazine, Alabama Heritage, Veranda and Southern Accents.
