In 1979 when Mardi Gras was cancelled in New Orleans a group of businessmen got together to parade for the kids of St Michael's Special School. Since then we have grown so much. donations help with school tuition for kids, but what really matters on this day is the smiles on all the kids faces from seeing everyone. participation is was make this day the best parade of the season !!!

MARDI GRAS PARADE & FUNDRAISER FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21st 2025
Dear Aunts and Uncles of St. Michael’s:
It’s our 48th year and still going strong, because of your love and support for our kids!
*Your contribution: To achieve our goal, everyone’s participation is most important. We ask you to consider a sponsorship gift you are comfortable with. Whatever the amount will be received with loving gratitude and go directly to all of the children of St. Michael's. We welcome newcomers, ask a friend, they will find this day most rewarding. Please make every effort to wear a costume!
WOW!!! As always with generous donation of beads and cups Bacchus will also be providing the bags used to make the ditty bags for children. The Jerusalem Shrine Activity Units as well as the Jerusalem Divan Members will be joining us once again. Also, the Nationally famous “610 Stompers” will join us for the parade and perform to the delight of all our kids and our extended St. Michael’s family.
Krewe’s Den: Faux Meaux 2401 N. Woodlawn Ave., Metairie - 504-885-1677. Chris and Bridgethave once graciously offered their lounge to be the venue for our annual event. “Breakfast of Champions”, Bloody Mary’s etc. 10:00 am. Bus departs 11:45 am SHARP! Parade starts 12:45 pm.
Following the parade, back to Faux Meaux. Food will be served. A Thank You to All!
