Small Pony
Open to ponies under 13.0 hands, children under 16 years of age as of 1/1/25, catch weights, 3 entries to fill. If size of pony is questioned, the owner is responsible for verification. About four furlongs on the turf.
Large Pony
Open to ponies over 13.0 hands and under 14.2 hands, children under 16 years of age as of 1/1/25, catch weights, 3 entries to fill. If size of pony is questioned, the owner is responsible for verification. About four furlongs on the turf.

3. General Information
Winterthur’s pony races are named for long-time rider and equestrian, Alison Hershbell. Alison’s parents, Charlene and Dave, have dedicated many years volunteering at the Winterthur Point-to-Point, where Alison once rode. It is an honor to recognize her outstanding contributions.
Medals
Medals will be awarded to the winner of each of the two divisions and to the “best turned out” horse in each race.
Entries
Winterthur will be taking online entries for both the Small and Large Pony Races until Tuesday, April 29 at 11:00 am, when it promptly closes. No post entries will be allowed. The fee is $30.
Insurance and Indemnification
You will be required to show proof of insurance and sign an indemnification agreement at the time you claim your number cloth on race day. No exceptions to this rule.
Race Procedures
Please be on the grounds by 10:30 am to check in at the Tower. Paddock time will be 11:30 am for both the Small and Large Pony Races. Post time for the small ponies will be 12:00 noon. Post time for the large ponies will be immediately after the end of the Small Pony Race. Medals will be awarded to the winner of each of the two divisions and "best turned out horse" in each race.
Parking and Admission
Each entry will be issued (2) admission bands for parents or guests and (2) parking passes, one of which includes the trailer. The jockey does not need a wristband wearing silks.
All parking hangtags must be clearly displayed in your vehicle. Admission wristbands must be worn at all times.
Concessions
There will be a concession tent onsite for purchase, or you may bring your own provisions.
