Oklahoma City has the 3rd largest Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in the United States. The OKC MLK Alliance has been organizing that and related events for 40+ years and has made it into not only one of the largest but the most diverse in the country. All are welcome to join the OKC MLK Alliance in honoring Dr. King and in keeping his dream alive in Oklahoma City on January 20 2025.
The “Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade” is a community event hosted by the OKC Martin Luther King Jr. Alliance. The parade features an array of participating local organizations
marching bands local school groups and other community partners. This will be the 45th year for the annual parade celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade will begin on Walker Avenue at NW 6th Street. Upon conclusion of the parade participants and attendees are invited to Myriad Botanical Gardens for parade awards and the closing ceremony on the water stage.
