The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated- Iota Chi Zeta Chapter invites you to join us as we celebrate A Legacy of Impact: Past, Present, and Future- Celebrating the 45th Sapphire Anniversary.
The celebration will take place On April 5, 2025 at the Wicomico County Civic Center in Salisbury, MD from 11am-2pm. Tickets are $55.00 and will include your unlimited brunch buffet. We will be joined by Anthony "Turk" Cannon. Anthony “Turk” Cannon is a smooth jazz saxophonist, born and raised in St. Michaels Maryland.
About the Iota Chi Zeta Chapter:
The Iota Chi Zeta Chapter was chartered on October 17, 1979 in Cambridge, Maryland. The chartering members included Soror Mary McEachin Thompson, Triumphant Soror Janice Jones-Lake, Soror Deborah Shockley-Dillard, Soror Alice Davis-Mitchell, Triumphant Soror Theresa Molock-Stafford, Soror Norby Molock-Lee, and Soror Darlene Burke. The chartering ceremony was held at Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church with words of inspiration delivered by Sigma Brother Dr. Edwin Ellis.
The Iota Chi Zeta Chapter is based in Cambridge, MD, although it has expanded to include sorors from Dorchester, Wicomico, Talbot, Queen's Anne, Kent, Somerset, and Worcester counties, as well as west of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The chapter's programmatic focal areas include Stork's Nest/Prematurity Awareness, Adopt A School, and Mental Health Awareness. We currently offer three scholarships: the Sarah Hicks Jolley Scholarship, which is awarded to high school seniors; the Mary McEachin Thompson Scholarship, which is awarded to women returning to college to pursue a bachelor's degree; and the Dr. Theresa Stafford Scholarship, which is awarded to women pursuing a postgraduate degree.
