Our theme for 2025 is “The Fierce Urgency of NOW.” To impact public policy, we must work together to continue to fight for equality and equity. Freedom Fundraising campaigns and anniversary celebrations are the primary fundraising and ceremonial events for NAACP Branches across the nation. We are asking for your support to continue to do the work to bring awareness to racial inequality and dismantle unjust policies in Aiken County and beyond. This year, our featured speaker is Judge Penny Brown Reynolds, Ph.D., J.D. Judge Penny is a CEO, speaker and author. She is the former Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights in the Biden-Harris Administration, The United States Department of Agriculture. Most recently she served as USDA’s Chief EEO Principal Officer for its 100,000 plus employees.
Brown Reynolds serves as one of the nation’s preeminent civil rights scholars and experts, bringing over 30 years of legal and executive leadership experience in civil rights, law, executive management, as well as higher education and organizational change management. We are looking forward to hearing her message to Aiken SC.
