COURSE DESCRIPTION

Neonatal and perinatal medicine continues to undergo dramatic change. This is brought about by scientific and clinical factors which enable us to care for increasingly complex diseases using new technology and treatment options. Practitioners in neonatology are challenged to keep up-to-date on clinical issues as well as the current research that will influence future change.

This Annual Neonatology Symposium is designed to offer NICU providers practical, take-home information that addresses current issues in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Question and answer periods will be provided. This format is designed to facilitate interaction and allow for a more thorough exploration of information impacting clinical practice.

Speakers have been selected for their clinical expertise, knowledge of current research, as well as their reputation and ability to present updated information in concise and understandable terms.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Neonatologists in academic and community hospital settings, neonatal nurse practitioners, and pediatricians will find the material relevant to their practice. Other members of the NICU interdisciplinary team, nurses, RTs, nutritionists, and pharmacists, may also find the information of value.
