The City of Mountlake Terrace has its Annual Tree Lighting on the first Friday evening in December each year. Join the city for the 41st year of lighting the tree of lights on top of the water tower as well as a 20-foot tree in the Jerry Smith Town Center Plaza.The event traditionally includes a visit from Santa, local school choirs, cookies, cocoa, sponsor recognition and the lighting of the tree. Each year, the kids await Santa's arrival on a fire truck generously coordinated with South County Fire.
