WHEN AND WHERETour takes place Sunday, May 18, 2025. You may start anytime between the hours of 7:00 am and 12:00 (CST). All riders must be off routes by 3:30 pm CST. The departure and finishing point for all three routes is the La Porte County Fairgrounds, located on the southwest edge of La Porte, IN directly adjacent to State Highway 2.
ROUTES
Rides are designed especially for those "warming-up" for the bicycling season...whether you wish to relax and tour the scenic areas of the city and county for approximately 16 miles or pick up your pace and ride a 63 mile route. An intermediate ride of 32 miles is also offered - or combine any routes you wish.
PRE REGISTRATION
The pre-registration fee of $25.00 with pre-registration postmarked no later then May 8, 2025.
DAY OF RIDE REGISTRATION
Day of ride cost is $30.00. Registration will be conducted until 12:00.
FAMILY REGISTRATION
Special pre-registration fee for families of 3 or more is $50.00. Day of ride will be $60.00. A family consists of parents and their children only.
ASSISTANCE
All registrants receive a map with route guide information, as well as snacks and drinks at all sag stops. Marked vehicles will be patrolling the route to assist those riders with breakdown problems. Please make sure your bicycle is in good working order.
SAFETY
Please obey all laws and regulations. Riders should wear bright clothing for general visibility and safety. SAFETY HELMETS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Riders should make provisions for day of tour weather conditions.
T-SHIRTS
T-Shirts are high quality and cost $25.00, XXL $28.00. (Adult sizes only) Include size on registration and include payments with registration fee. T-Shirts must be ordered by May 8th to guarantee availability on ride date. Shirts will be included in registration packet if ordered.
OTHER AREAS OF INTEREST
Our La Porte County Bikeway System offers several self-guided bike routes for your enjoyment. Many of these are through scenic and historical areas of the county. Feel free to ride these routes anytime. (If you'd like some additional information on these routes, please request this with your registration.) The La Porte area has numerous Antique Shops and Parks.
