41Drawings Workshop @ The D.O.N.U.T , Zurich, Switzerland

21/09/2024 2pm till 4pm.

Each person is given a small A6 sketchbook and a stick of graphite. The objective of the workshop is to walk through the free exhibition and make 41 fast paced drawings in 2 hours.

We will be visiting the free exhibition ‘MERRY CHAIR GO ROUND at The D.O.N.U.T in Zurich.

Circle around fantastic chair designs by Yrjö Kukkapuro, the legendary Finnish designer. MERRY CHAIR GO ROUND is the inaugural presentation of “Doing Donuts at the D.O.N.U.T.,” dedicated to a circular artistic approach with used design materials and vintage objects. The spotlight is on the edition “YRJÖ KUKKAPURO CHAIR A – 504 X YOU”.

For this edition, still in progress, international artists and designers contribute unique pieces for re-upholstery or structural interventions on vintage chairs. The result is a playful spatial lineup of chair pairs and objects.

The D.O.N.U.T. is a new space for ventures in art and design, initiated by UNDEND architects and KOSKILUOMADAVIDSON and functions as a perpetually evolving mockup showcase.

There will be lots of objects and starting points for conversation and inspiration to make some drawings.

This specific session is hosted by Nima @nima.shafiani who works as an artist in today's London.

We will meet as a group at the main entrance of The D.O.N.U.T gallery at 1.45pm and the session will start at 2pm.
