Unlike a competitive event that has a pre-set number of games and a fixed schedule, this narrative event has an official start and end time, but you play as many games as you like within that window. This allows you to play at your own pace, take breaks or even leave early if your personal schedule requires. The event is an ongoing narrative event and the matches from previous event days shape and inform the event you are attending.Saturday

You only need a minimum of 1000 Points of models for any faction! Then you dive into 3-way games, doubles, 2v1’s and allies arriving late to the fray in a Dynamic Battles system!
At the start of the event, you will join one of our 3 teams (Imperium, Chaos & Xenos) and will meet with one of our event organizers.
A narrative event is an event where the actions of players will have an impact on the ongoing story. You do not have to role-play or do funny voices (although we support any role-play. Go on…. WAAAGGGGH loudly, or scream THE EMPEROR PROTECTS when you roll that 6); the goal is to have players make choices in game fitting of their faction/warlord, for example fighting tooth and nail versus Tyranids to stop them devouring a planet.

Yes the event pack is 27 pages long, but you DO NOT need to master or even read the majority of it. Each faction has a few pages outlining their goals, how to organize your force, special faction bonuses or features, and other details custom to each army.
You and your team will benefit from knowing your own Faction Rules, as well as the sections discussing; General Rules, Planets and Invasions, Master Unit Lists, & Retinues.

Download the Event Pack – Read the General Rules, Planets and Invasions, Master Unit Lists, & Retinues, along with your faction’s pages. This will let you know how your army functions at the event, your goals, and how to influence the event while you are here!
Prepare for war – Narrative gaming does require some bookkeeping, you will record characters injuries, successes, and upgrades as well as casualties in units. We recommend doing this on paper in pencil. You can organize your army prior to the event using the rules in the Event Pack.
