40B North Plymouth Conservation Committee Hearing

For people who are following the 3-building 40B condo project on North Plymouth, there is now a conservation **committee meeting scheduled for November 4th**. Here are the two Notice of Intent document:

Any resident can attend and share concerns in public comment. The meeting is scheduled for **November 4, 2024 at 7pm** at the Town Hall in the Ropewalk Meeting Room. There should also be a Zoom meeting, TBD.
A few things in the report that caught my attention:
1. The soil is very sandy. See page 246 for a series of test pits dug on the property as well as a couple of those images.
2. It’s unclear if the project will involve trucking sand off-site. At minimum, the top soil and "subsoil" will be trucked off site. This includes **a minimum of 10 feet **beyond the foundations.
3. It is stated there is no natural heritage or endangered species anywhere within the site based on a published State of MA list as well as MA GIS maps. I'm curious if any on-the-ground studies for endangered species such as salamanders (would have to be April-October) have been done or if archaeology studies have been done (e.g. for Native American artifacts) — I haven't seen anything about this yet.
The next meeting regarding this development is **October 20 at 6pm with the ZBA focused on traffic and safety. **Anyone can attend either of these hearings and express concerns during public comment.
