About this Event
Ever wanted to try your hand at working with clay? Do you like the idea of making your own favourite mug? Are you the type of person who likes to make personalised gifts? Or maybe you just want to get your hands on some clay and see what happens?
In this relaxed 4-week workshop you will learn a host of new skills and building techniques. Each week we will introduce you to a specific method such as pinch, slab, coil, press moulding and wheel throwing. You'll be presented with loads of technical information about clay and firing along the way, and even get to glaze some of your own work. This course is perfect for absolute beginners looking to try out something new or intermediate students looking to spend a little more time working with clay.
This workshop is taught by Natalie J Wood and Hazel Frost, professional ceramicists who have previously taught at Gray's School of Art and Turning Earth.
