Then Yin Yoga could be transformational for you...
Yoga emphasizes stretching the yin tissues, which refer to the deep connective tissues, fascia, and ligaments surrounding the joints. If these tissues are extremely tight, no matter how much you stretch your muscles, your flexibility may not improve, and you could be increasing your risk of injury. It requires a comprehensive approach to ensure you address both muscular and connective tissues effectively.
It requires targeting and slowly opening the yin tissues to give your muscles space to move and elongate.
The pace teaches you a lot about your own body & mind; not just how small movements can change postures, but how everythingโ€™s put together.
๐Ÿšด๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ This makes it hugely beneficial alongside cycling, weight-training, running and other exercises that shorten the muscles, resulting in less flexibility & mobility, throughout the whole body.
This style of yoga involves holding postures for three to five minutes. To help you fully relax into the poses, your body is supported with props. This allows you to breathe deeply into the stretch and lets gravity do its work.
