Join The Studio’s instructor, Tiffany Thornton as she teaches the basics of sewing!
Tiffany has been sewing over 15 year and is excited to share the sewing skills she learned from her grandma with a new generation of creators.
Class info:
Beginner (brand new, never touched a machine, or brushing up on skills)
Ages: 18+
4 weeks long/ 1 class per week
Thursdays in March (3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26)
6:30pm-8:30pm

Learning objectives:
Basic mending and alterations
Skills that will be taught and practiced:
Hand sewing:
How to thread a needle
Straight, back, and ladder stitch
Learning types of closures: Button, hook & eye
Machine sewing:
Basic machine vocabulary
Threading a machine
Practicing stitches
Making a pincushion
Hemming a garment
Other Important information:
All materials and tools included. We provide sewing machines but if a student has a machine, they are incouraged to bring and learn on it.

-A reminder email will be sent a few days prior to class
-If a student is sick they are to stay home until they feel better, notify us as soon as possible (661)889-6655
-Once a class has been paid for, any money that has been given to the studio is non-refundable. Transfers are allowed.
-Payment options for remaining balance: Cash, check (payable to The Studio Bakersfield), Card can be used but will incur a 3% service fee.
