Begin your Fall season with meditation at True North Yoga. Join Meris Gebhardt for this special meditation 4-week series. This LOVED series will focus on the heart space. A space of "being" in the world. Whether you're new to meditation or a seasoned meditator/mindfulness connoisseur this series will teach, encourage, strengthen and raise your energetic vibration on a journey toward greater self discovery.
Each week students will be guided through two meditation styles, seated guided meditation and yoga nidra meditation (also called sleep yoga). Both practices will progress throughout the 4 weeks taking students deeper.
What students will learn/experience:
Experience the richness of a Heart Based Open Awareness Meditation Practice
Learn techniques that allow for individual consciousness to move beyond the monkey mind
Become aware of "false identification" which can limit the ability for meditation to transform your everyday life
Open up to the meaning and embodiment of "surrender" as a concept of meditation leading toward samadhi
Understand meditation as tool for greater awareness, meaning and purpose in life
Receive loving support from teachers and students during a special community workshop
Establish a home practice that feels natural and fits into your lifestyle. Find out about the common obstacles to meditation and learn how to work with them. Create an intention to support your practice and enjoy community support.
Plus, enjoy an unlimited pass at TNY for 1 month from Sept 10-Oct 2 as part of the tuition for this series.
Dates: Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 10, 17, 24 and Oct 8
Class: In-person at True North Yoga, Upstairs studio
Time: 7:00 - 8:15PM
Format: Two guided meditations sitting and lying, intention setting, weekly lecture.
Materials: Bolsters and blankets will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing, including socks.
Cost: $99 per person, includes an unlimited yoga pass valid from 9/4-10/2
