4 Week Hands-On Photography Workshop

Do you have a camera and want to level up? Come out and learn new ways to capture a beautiful moment, organize your thousands of images in a comprehensive way, and do it with a fun group of people!

This workshop will be 4 weeks in total (one day per week).

In the first session, we'll dive into lighting, and how the camera technically works to take in different amounts of light. We'll compare lenses and show what the different lengths and numbers actually mean. Then to finish the first evening we'll go out and shoot together in Denver!

The second session will cover editing those images we shot from the first round. We'll do feedback sessions to help sharpen your editing skills, and the facilitator will give you direct feedback on your work. Then we'll discuss digital media management and how you can avoid wasting hours on losing, deleting, and misplacing files on your computer.

The third session will be about shooting techniques (cropping, composing, and artistic style). We'll go over images that you've shot (so it's personal) and discuss what about the shot "technically" looks good and how you can add your artistic vision to the image. We'll also go out and do hands on shooting again.

The last session is about hidden resources you may not be aware of. As creatives, tools can be our best friends. They're also hard to come by. So, we'll crack some codes and show you a few secrets. Then we'll talk about the business side of photography and how you can make actually money as a creative.
