This class series will equip you with foundation skills such as:
- Seams (eg. Open, Closed, French & Flat fell seams)
- Intakes (eg. Darts, Pleats & Gathers)
- Closures (eg. Zippers, Buttons & Buttonhole)
- Attachments (eg. Pockets, Straps, Lacing)
The projects for this class are a Zippered Pouch and a Totebag.
The following SUPPLIES are to be procured by student prior to class.
- Fabric and paper scissors
- Pins, needles & different-color sewing threads
- 2yards of muslin (unbleached cotton fabric)
- Tape measure, tailor's chalk
- Notebook, pen and ruler
- Two (8-inch) each, regular and invisible zippers
- Home sewing machine (For homework)
- Binder with transparencies for scrapbooking
