Come and join the Twin Cities-based 4 Low Pitches Bass Clarinet Quartet for a bit of post-holiday fun and frolics. This unique ensemble will delight the audience with a variety of music from classical, jazz and popular genres bringing to light the virtuosity and beauty of the bass clarinet. Colleen, Julia, Melissa, and Stacie are all professional clarinetists who strive to bring the joy and pleasure of sharing music to the audience.
The Twin Cities-based 4 Low Pitches Bass Clarinet Quartet has two missions: bringing music of diverse composers and arrangers into the spotlight and highlighting the beauty and flexibility of the bass clarinet. Julia Heinen, Melissa Morales, Stacie Traill, and Colleen White formed this unique and exciting ensemble in 2024. These four virtuoso women clarinetists perform as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral players globally and strive to make the world of music accessible to all. Their programming includes music from all genres presented in entertaining and captivating experiences leaving their listeners smiling throughout their performances. Their enthusiasm for pursuing new ways to explore the vast collaborative ways clarinetists can connect with each other and the community is infectious. Four Low Pitches is honored to be included in 2025-2026 MPR Class Notes Artist Roster whose mission is to provide free K-12 classroom concert experiences that inspire students and support teachers.
