About this Event

Location: Pitt County Ag Center: 403 Government Circle, Greenville, NC 27834

Ages: 9-12


Our State Park Explorer Camp is the perfect opportunity for young adventurers to immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of our state's natural landscapes. Over five exciting days, campers will:


  • Discover hidden gems: Explore three stunning state parks, each offering unique ecosystems, breathtaking views, and thrilling trails.
  • Connect with nature: Learn about local flora and fauna, participate in hands-on activities, and develop a deeper appreciation for the environment.
  • Unleash their inner explorer: Hike through forests, discover cascading waterfalls, and maybe even spot some wildlife!
  • Experience local treasures: Visit two local parks, uncovering their unique stories and contributing to community projects.
  • Create lasting memories: Make new friends, share stories around the campfire, and forge bonds that will last a lifetime.


Camp starts at 8:00am! We will be traveling to different N.C. State Parks. We will plan to leave the office each day no later than 8:15am. Please be on time or you may be left!

We will strive to return to the Pitt County 4-H Office by 5:00pm each day. If return time is expected to be later than 5:00pm parents will recieve a text or phone call.

All youth mush be registered in 4-H Online to attend this camp.

4-HOnline is a secured system that is in compliance with the PCI Security Standards Council that houses our medical and consent forms, which are necessary for all clubs and programs. Please choose “Member At Large” for club and “Camping” for projects, when prompted.

Info: We will leave no later than 8:15am depending on the park adventure of the day! Please be on time.

Lunch Time

Info: Please bring a bag lunch. We will eat lunch on site at the park. Be mindful that we will not have access to a microwave. Coolers, snacks, and water will be provided.

Return and Camp Pick Up

Info: We will strive to be back to the Pitt County 4-H office no later than 5:00pm each day. If travel delays occur, parents or guardians will be alerted by text or phone call. Please plan to pick up youth no later than 5:10pm.
