Farm to Table 4-H Camp: From Seed to Supper!

Ever wonder where your food comes from? Join us for Farm to Table 4-H Camp and discover the amazing journey from seed to supper! This hands-on camp is designed for youth aged 9-12 and will immerse you in the world of agriculture, teaching you how food is grown, harvested, and transformed into the delicious meals we enjoy.

Get ready for a week of exciting discoveries where you will:

• Explore the farm: Get up close and personal with farm animals, learn about different crops, and discover the hard work that goes into producing our food. We'll visit several Pitt County farms to see firsthand how things work.
• Plant and grow: Get your hands dirty and learn how to plant seeds, nurture seedlings, and cultivate a garden. We'll discover the magic of growing our own food.
• Harvest time: Participate in harvesting fruits, vegetables, and other crops. Learn about sustainable farming practices and the importance of caring for the land.
• Culinary creations: Transform fresh ingredients from the farm into delicious meals! We'll learn basic cooking skills, experiment with recipes, and enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor.
• Farm-to-table connections: Explore the connection between farms, our communities, and the food we eat. We'll learn about the importance of supporting local farmers and making healthy food choices.
• Meet the farmers: Talk with local farmers and learn about their passion for agriculture and their commitment to providing healthy food.

Our experienced 4-H leaders will guide campers through each step of the process, ensuring a safe and fun learning environment. We'll emphasize teamwork, hands-on learning, and the importance of understanding where our food comes from.

All youth must be registered in 4-H Online to attend this camp.

4-HOnline is a secured system that is in compliance with the PCI Security Standards Council that houses our medical and consent forms, which are necessary for all clubs and programs. Please choose “Member At Large” for club and “Camping” for projects, when prompted.
