4 Day Childbirth Education Bundle

NOTE:

• Only one ticket per couple is needed.
• Prenatal Breastfeeding and Infant Care are included in this bundle. You DO NOT need to register for those separately.

Class Schedule:
This comprehensive series meets four times over consecutive weeks on Sunday, Monday, Sunday, Monday.
*Please note: The October 5 & 6, 2025 series will continue on October 19 & 20 due to the holiday weekend.

Upcoming Session Structure:

• Class 1: Stages and phases of labor & delivery + basic comfort techniques
• Class 2: Pain management, medications, medical interventions, cesarean birth, and postpartum care
• Class 3: Infant Care (diapering, bathing, newborn appearance and behavior, soothing techniques, and more)
• Class 4: Prenatal Breastfeeding basics

Bonus Class:
Our Baby’s Home! – Now What? is included and should be scheduled for the first available session after your baby’s birth, for additional postpartum support.

Hospital Tour Included:
A 45-minute guided tour is part of this bundle. Areas include:

• Women’s Evaluation and Treatment Unit
• Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Unit
• Wesson 2 Postpartum Unit
• NICU/CCN Area (viewed from outside the nurseries)

FAQs

What are the parking options for the event?

Please allow extra time for parking at the Springfield campus. You may park in the Wesson Women's lot in front of the Wesson Women's entrance off of Chestnut Street. If there is no parking available in this lot, feel free to use the larger lot adjacent to the Chestnut building.

Can I update my registration information?

If you have a change in email address, insurance or other pertinent information, feel free to update your registration. Class changes require 7 days notice and are dependent on enrollment.

Is there somewhere to purchase food on campus during class break time?

There is a full service cafeteria on the 2nd floor between the Springfield and Daly building and Atwater's Café near the Ph*rm*cy/gift shop on the 1st floor Daly entrance. Please be aware Baystate Health is cashless, even at the cafes. Credit/Debit cards are accepted. A kiosk is available to transfer cash to card.

What is the refund policy for the class?

Cancellations up to 7 days before the class receive a full refund, minus a processing fee. Refunds are not available after that time.

Are Parent Education classes covered by health insurance?

Please check with your insurance company to see if they reimburse for childbirth education. Please print your class receipts to submit for reimbursement once the class is completed.

If you have Be Healthy insurance by Health New England, please call our office to register for classes which can be billed directly (no cost to you)

If you have any other MA state insurance, the class bundle is $25 instead of $165 . You must register by calling our office.
