BASIC WATERCOLOUR PAINTING
Class size: 4 to 6 persons
Duration: 4 sessions. 4 hours of instruction per session. 16 hours in total.
Every Saturday for 4 Saturdays
Course fee: $420 per person
Please message to enquire about Private 1-to-1 classes. These are flexible and may be booked session by session at short notice. The entire basic class can usually be completed within four sessions. However, I can customize the class to be longer or shorter to fit your needs. Please enquire for private group class fees.
Material cost: Incorporated into the class fee.
I will provide everything you need during class. You'll also receive a specially curated palette of artist quality watercolors.
All students will also get access to my exclusive illustrated notes and tutorials.
Unlike other classes, I will provide samples for you to use and try. Including, different brands and varieties of Synthetic, Sable and Squirrel brushes, Cotton paper, Cotton mix paper, Cellulose paper, Academic/Studio paints and Professional Artist paints by Sennelier, Schmincke, Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Daler Rowney, Yarka St Petersburg, Kusakabe, PWC Shinhan, M Graham and Co, Gekkoso, Mission Gold, Maimeri and more.
You can expect to learn the following:
- Insider information about art material such as paint, brushes, paper, palette. How to shop for appropriate materials, maintenance of tools, comparison with other mediums etc.
- Comprehensive coverage of watercolour techniques, including wet on dry, wet in wet, dry brushing, glazing, layering, bleeding, lifting, negative painting, preserving or painting whites. As well as color mixing, color values and palette management.
- I'll also share with you my secrets to fixing all your watercolour issues - including understanding why your paint does what it does, controlling water and mastering round and flat brush techniques.
- Finally, I will also teach you how to troubleshoot so that you can progress independently with practice. And most importantly, how to use your new skills and knowledge to paint anything you want!
