🎷🎶 3x3x3, das sind drei Trios an drei Orten im Tal. Der Wuppertaler Saxophonist Jakob Jentgens trifft dabei jeweils eine:n andere:n Künstler:in aus Wuppertal und einen Gast von außerhalb.
Im dritten Teil von 3x3x3 gibt das Ensemble SOL mit Béla Bluche (Kontrabass), Djamila Polo (Tanz) und Jakob Jentgens (Saxophon) in der Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof einen Einblick in die gemeinsame Recherche an der Grenze von Tanz, Musik und Performance.
Wie hört sich das an? "Warm, melodiös, aber auch mal überraschend und schräg, emphatisch und facettenreich. Wir loten die klanglichen Möglichkeiten unserer Instrumenten und des Zusammenspiels aus, verweben Melodien aus Barock, Klassik, Jazz und Pop mit freien Improvisationen, Klangexperimenten und eigenen Kompositionen zu musikalischen Geschichten."

🎷🎶 3x3x3, that’s three trios in three locations in Wuppertal. Wuppertal-based saxophonist Jakob Jentgens meets one other artist from Wuppertal and one guest from outside the city.
In the third part of 3x3x3, the Ensemble SOL, featuring Béla Bluche (double bass), Djamila Polo (dance) and Jakob Jentgens (saxophone), will be giving an insight into their joint research at the intersection of dance, music and performance at Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof.
How does that sound? “Warm, melodious, but also surprising and strange at times, emphatic and multifaceted. We explore the tonal possibilities of our instruments and their interplay, weaving melodies from baroque, classical, jazz and pop with free improvisations, sound experiments and our own compositions to create musical stories.”
