The current lifestyle habits of many Americans, leads to elevated risk of pre-diabetes and diabetes. This course will discuss pre-diabetes and diabetes, where we are today with these epidemics and what can be done to turn these chronic diseases around, leading to better health, longevity and freeing up the healthcare system.
Our Speaker
For over 2 decades, Carolyn Skelton has been blazing trails in the field of chronic disease prevention. Carolyn loves people and loves to see them healthy and living their best life, free of chronic illness. From working through colleges as a personal training to co-director of a chronic disease prevention facility to boots on the ground in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Carolyn has see a lot and experienced a lot. Americans are not healthy and we can be healthy if we choose healthy lifestyle habits.
Carolyn manages her private practice, Wellness 4 Prevention, LLC, consulting individuals on nutrition and lifestyle behaviors leading to positive health outcomes and decreasing risk of chronic illness. She is a Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach, provides the National Diabetes Prevention Program and Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support. Carolyn offers nutrigenomics and gut health testing and she is a personal chef.
Carolyn is an avid gardener and outdoor woman with running, walking and hiking her two pups, Henry and Sunny.
